Introduction
David T. Hart, CSP, Forensic Safety and Health Specialist, Grayhawk Safety and Health Consulting Company. I graduated from Murray State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Safety & Health in 1997 and completed a Master of Science degree in Occupational Safety & Health (emphasis in Industrial Hygiene) 1998. I have been awarded the designation of Certified Safety Professional (CSP).
For the last 15 years, I have worked in the industrial chemical/gas manufacturing sector in both operations and environmental, safety, and health roles. I have held North American health and safety responsibilities for up to 75 facilities in 13 states including worker safety; grass roots/acquisitions/divestitures support; injury management; EHS assurance audits; RMP compliance; regulatory inspection support; global EHS&Q standard development; emergency response; industrial hygiene; and incident investigations. I have worked in Asia and Europe supporting various EHS programs and initiatives.
I have served on the Kentucky Occupational Safety and Health Standards board since 2005 (current appointment by KY Governor Steve Beshear). I serve as President of the Purchase Area Chapter of the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE). I have also served as deputy Vice President - Region VII of the American Society of Safety Engineers. I was honored by the Kentucky Safety and Health Network as the Outstanding Individual in Safety and Health/Business Partner in May 2005.
